The Gretsch Steve Ferrone Signature Snare (S-6514F-SF) is a 6.5 x 14 workhorse. The Gretsch Steve Ferrone signature snare drum features a beaded brass shell finished in polished black nickel. It is finished off with gold hardware, including tube lugs, 2.3mm triple flanged hoops, 20 strand snare wires, adjustable throw-off, and Remo drum heads. Gretsch’s Steve Ferrone Signature Snare is a true reflection of the classic sounds inspired by this legendary drummer.

Gretsch’s Full Range Maple Snare drums feature 10-ply, 8mm 100% maple shells with 30-degree bearing edges, Gretsch’s classic Silver Sealer on the inside of the shell, Evans drum heads, and an adjustable drop-style snare throw off and butt plate. These particular Gretsch Full Range Maple snare drums feature contoured wood hoops on the top and bottom. The Gretsch Full Range Maple snare drums are available in Natural Maple Gloss and Ebony Gloss

Gretsch’s Full Range Maple Snare drums feature 10-ply, 8mm 100% maple shells with 30-degree bearing edges, Gretsch’s classic Silver Sealer on the inside of the shell, Evans drum heads, and an adjustable drop-style snare throw off and butt plate. These particular Gretsch Full Range Maple snare drums feature contoured wood hoops on the top and bottom. Gretsch Solid Aluminum snare drums feature a thin solid aluminum shell with a brushed finish. Each 6.5×14 model features 10 lugs, die cast hoops, Gretsch’s Lightning snare strainer, Gretsch Permatone drum heads, a “snap in” drum key holder, Gretsch’s “Drop G” badge, and 42-strand snare wires. Gretsch Hammered Antique Copper snare drums feature a thin hammered copper shell with an antique finish. Each 5×14 model features 8 lugs, die cast hoops, Gretsch’s Lightning snare strainer, Gretsch Permatone drum heads, a “snap in” drum key holder, Gretsch’s “Drop G” badge, and 42-strand snare wires.

Gretsch Solid Spun Brass snare drums use a heavy, spun brass shell, which is not cast, but spun into form using high centrifugal force. Gretsch’s solid spun brass snare drum shells are seamless and 3mm thick with a straight shell wall. The top and bottom bearing edges are rounded except at the snare bed where it is flat. Shell interiors feature a natural finish, and are not polished. The unplated shell exterior is finished in a clear lacquer and features the classic center Gretsch knurling pattern. Additional features include the Gretsch Lightning throw-off, top and bottom die-cast hoops, ‘Snap-In’ key holder, the classic Gretsch ‘Drop G’ octagon badge, Gretsch Permatone coated top with underside dot/clear bottom heads and 42-Strand snare wires.
