Darkish. Sandy-esque. Complexified. Hammerific. Just your standard adjectives for cymbals, but I feel these hats REALLY get to the core of what those words [probably] mean. I've had mine for years, and I use them for everything. Live, recording, rock, jazz, soft, loud; they do it all.

These hi hats were recently used by Dave Weckl for an in-store clinic. They show stick marks and some fingerprints but are still in excellent shape otherwise ... and they sound amazing!
Very responsive pairing that delivers clean, crisp stick articulation and solid pedal " chick" , with warm, tonal colour. Like all HHX Legacy models, Sabian 14" HHX Legacy Hats are musically deep, dark and rich. Until HHX, it was impossible to project darkness. But the dark, simmering sound, agitated bite and "Tone Projection" design of HHX makes this series more effective than others.
