DCP 6th Anniversary Party! June 6th!

I can’t believe we’ve passed the 5 year mark!  It seems like yesterday that I was sitting on my end table as my office chair with my crappy hand me down PC with a blackberry (remember those?)  as my modem. In that time, we’ve been recognized as a TOP 100 Dealer by NAMM (3 years running!), we’ve received the Retail Excellence award from Music Inc. Magazine, and we’ve been recognized as a Top 200 global dealer of musical instruments by The Music Trades.  It’s been a whirlwind, and we can’t do this without your continued support, so allow me to sincerely thank you for that.   Our 5th year was just as exciting; a highlight would be traveling to Switzerland to visit the Paiste factory, or bringing Tom up to the Sabian factory and spending the day hand picking some prototypes with Mark Love.  We also opened an additional fulfillment warehouse to stock more inventory to get you the products you want more quickly.  With 2 additional warehouses, I can confidently say that our drum inventory is one of the most complete in the United States.   The NAMM organization asked me to teach a class at the NAMM show about increasing your reach via Youtube, and I also contributed to some articles for MMR magazine.  It’s been full, full full, and it just keeps getting busier!   So, the question is, what have we done with YOUR support? We continued to fund the Portsmouth Music and Arts Center with financial donations and instruments, as well as the new 3S artspace here in Portsmouth.  Additionally, we contributed to the New Hampshire Drum Festival, the PHS Marching Band, and the CMS music boosters.  We also were able to broaden our employee profit sharing program and bring even more jobs into the industry, which is something not easily done these days. We also brought DCP Master Classes with Dave Weckl, Dennis Chambers, and an awesome Zildjian Day with Adam Nussbaum and Paul Francis.  Have I left anything out?  I’m sure I have.     Doing all of the above can be quite expensive and it’s because of your support that we’re able to do it.  We know that you have several options of where you can spend your hard earned money and I’m proud to tell you that we’re allocating those resources with the purpose of ENHANCING MUSIC!     What we'd like to do is what we do every year, which is give you a bunch of food, bring you factory reps and celebrity guests, and have a huge sale.   For our sale,  we are going to offer an additional 15% off of all of our regular priced, already discounted items. This is one day only, and used/consignments/clearance/layaway items are excluded. We will also have a blowout area, with some products being discounted up to 95% off!! For our WEB Customers, we are going to do a special sale just for you, as a token of our gratitude. On Saturday, June 6, we will be doing a 15% off sale off of our already discounted prices! This excludes clearance/layaway items! (some exclusions will apply)  So, that’s it!  I’m even more excited about our next 5 years.  I have a lot planned to continue doing what we do best: making the drum world a better place through sound and service!
