Drum Center of Portsmouth has pledged a $10,000 donation through the NH Community Development Finance Authority Tax Credit Program to the Portsmouth Music and Arts Center to aid their move to a new, bigger facility on Islington St.
“DCP facilitated a donation of full drum kits for PMAC’s lesson rooms, and we’ve enjoyed a real symbiotic relationship since we moved here. To be able to help fund such a community building non profit organization is a source of great pride for me,” says Shane Kinney, owner of Drum Center of Portsmouth. “It’s inspiring to me to see people get energized through their own pursuits of the arts. Having a neighbor like PMAC providing this for the community is one of the many reasons I love Portsmouth!”
"In our daily work with music students of all ages, it is vital we use the best music equipment," says PMAC Executive Director Russ Grazier. "The Drum Center of Portsmouth has made that possible in our classrooms by donating wonderful instruments, and now they are a key supporter of our new building project. They are a wonderful example of a local business supporting arts education and we are proud to partner with them to build community through the arts.”
