DCP wins the New Hampshire Business in the Arts Award!

Drum Center of Portsmouth was announced as one of the winners of the Business in the Arts Awards at a gala evening presentation hosted by the New Hampshire Business Committee for the Arts on May 9 in Manchester. More than 350 business and arts leaders attended the 32^nd annual celebration. Drum Center of Portsmouth was recognized for initiating equipment donations and scholarship support for young students, donating their time to conduct workshops and underwriting the growing Rock Program that affords 100 students of all levels the chance to collaborate, write, record and perform original music. “This is a huge honor,” says DCP owner Shane Kinney.  “I believe everyone deserves a chance to express themselves through drumming.  Playing a small role in creating that reality for people is something we all at DCP are very proud of.”
