If you want a responsive, warm drum head with a decidedly retro look and feel, the Evans Calftone is a great choice. The synthetic fiber coating adds a little bit of extra focus to the sound, and give a vintage look to your drum kit.
This Evans Calftone is a single ply 12-mil head with a special synthetic fiber top layer that's designed to have the look and sound of calfskin, with an added boost to mid and low frequencies. These heads produce a slightly warmer sound than other thin drum heads, while still retaining some brightness to the attack. Evans Calftone heads are manufactured right here in the USA, and are available in sizes from 8" to 18". We carry the full line of Evans Heads at Drum Center of Portsmouth.
