The Paiste 900 series have replaced the Alphas, and I really liked the Alphas. They seemed to be a bit of a sleeper in their line, and Paiste has employed some of the technology they've learned from the latest lines they've developed. Having the Colorsounds back make it even better. These sound awesome!

A special darker finish amplifies the lathing grooves and hammer marks for a gorgeous appearance that blends roughness and elegance. These particular hats are responsive with a lively intensity and a crisp stick sound. The heaviness of the hats produce a sharp, cutting sound with medium to loud volume that is bright, energetic, and suitable for a variety of genres.
