Ludwig LA404K Acrophonic Special Edition Snare Drum 14x5

My first snare drum was a 1962 Ludwig Supraphonic 14 X 5.5 that came with a Ludwig Hollywood kit. Today that snare drum is 64 years old and the chrome hasn't held up well after six decades. I installed new heads and snares on it a while back and it still sounds great, but I wanted to get another snare drum to add to my collection and this special edition Acrophonic is perfect. With the imperial lugs and tasteful hammering it looks great and it sounds great too. It's Big fun to play!!

This drum is similar to Ludwig’s Legendary Supraphonic with a bit more warmth as an Acrolite. Plus, no headaches about pitting or plating issues with chrome down the road. This is a fantastic 10-Lug Acro with above and below center bead hammering for a striking difference. Adding the Imperial lugs also gives this drum an elevated look as well. DCP still has some of these drums so call today, you’ll be glad you did!
