The 2mm thick solid brass shell provides great resonance at all playing levels – along with a full tone and wide volume range. The drum has been given an atmospheric "corrosion-like" surface treatment, reminiscent of the patina finish on classic vintage cymbals. In addition, Canopus's exclusive hand-hammered treatment has control the high harmonics which produces a perfectly balanced sound. The tone, with a short sustain and emphasized low frequencies, also provides an outstanding mid-range presence that is sure not just to be heard, but felt.
