It is very difficult to produce sensitivity and warmth with a thick metal shell, but by applying appropriate edge shaping Canopus has produced this incredible snare drum, It has an amazingly wide range of sound frequencies - from low end to high end - giving a heavy, sharp sound and abundant overtones. By setting the depth to 4” , this allows for a smooth, balanced and sound, It has an overwhelming presence - normally unthinkable from 4" snare drum.
