Danmar Clear Lacquer Hard Wood Bass Beater w/Wildwood Grain, Black Shaft

Got these to replace my old Danmar wood beaters in classic red. I played those for about 15 years. Besides paint loss on the contact zones, they've held up great!

The only thing I recommend (with hard beaters in general) is a Remo falam slam patch to prolong the life of your kick head.

Other than that, these beaters give the desirable articulation (click) for heavier music.

I consider them essential for recording, and getting that punk or metal kick sound. After using these for so long, playing felt beaters feels like an acoustic versus electric guitar- it's a whole different animal.

Giving my old ones to another drummer, and I expect them to go another 15 years.
