Easy to tune, superior sounding HVX shells, along with DW heads by Remo USA, STM (Suspension Tom Mounts), True Pitch Tuning and DW 45 degree back-cut bearing edges, all make these drums sing.

The quality of the drums is great. I like the attention to small details such as the memory locks on the bass drum spurs. Another small detail is the spacing interval between the floor tom legs. Two of the legs are closer together so that when you position the drum next to your bass drum leg, the inside leg is not in the way of the pedal.
After tuning them I'm pretty happy especially with the toms. The bass drum came with a damping pillow on both heads. I took the front pillow out and use minimal damping on the batter head and use minimal damping on the batter. It sounds good but I'm still working on it. I'm not sure I'll stay with the heads that came on the bass drum. I'll probably switch to a non-vented resonant head - that's just my preference. I also have the 5.5 x 14 matching snare which sounds great.
