The Performance Series, meticulously handcrafted in the California Custom Shop, now comes in a limited-edition run with 100% Birch shells. Renowned for their sharp attack, quick sustain, and balanced resonance, these drums are perfect for live performances or studio sessions across various styles. Featuring DW's HVX™ grain orientation (horizontal-vertical-diagonal), these shells are designed to be a truly versatile musical instrument.

The tom and bass drum shells are built with eight plies of Birch and cut with 45- and 60-degree bearing edges for enhanced tonal control, while the snare drum boasts 10 plies with a 45-degree edge. This series mirrors the Collector’s Series hardware, including Suspended Tom Mounts (STM), quarter-sized turret lugs, and graduated triple-flange counter hoops.

The bass drums feature matching Birch hoops and lightweight claw hooks, with TruePitch 30 tension rods ensuring precise tuning across the entire kit. This configuration includes 8x10" and 9x12" mounted toms, a 14x16" floor tom, an 18x22" bass drum, and an optional matching 6.5x14" snare drum (sold separately). Get yours while supplies last!
