The Evans Heavyweight Snare Drum Head provides high volume, excellent durability and a big sound. This exceptionally thick snare drum head is made from two plies of 10-mil film and a top coated layer, PLUS an added 3-mil underside center control dot - bringing the total center thickness to a heavy duty 23-mil! Clearly, this was designed to be hit hard. The Heavyweight Coated Heads projects a strong cutting crack with short sustain when tuned higher, and a fat thud when tuned down low.
