The 13-inch Evans Hydraulic Red snare batter places a thin oil layer between two 7mil plies. The oil controls unwanted overtones, producing the deep, compact sound associated with early-1970s rock drumming.

A translucent frost coating adds warmth, focus and depth. Defined attack, short sustain and a dark tonal character help keep the drum focused. The Hydraulic design is easy to tune, including on drums that are difficult to control; Level 360 supports even seating. This red 13-inch version uses a clear UV-cured coating.
