Needed the wires for restoring a 80‘s snare.
Perfect material and supersensing 🤘
It did what I wanted it to do. This is not a fix for a bad sounding snare. It is a fix to have a controlled snappy sound from a snare made to give such a sound. Have two of these snare wires. One on my Brooklyn snare. The other on my Catalina Club snare. Great when you have to play with a light touch.
I have tried several of the top brands of 42 strands, and I always have a huge problem with snare buzz. They all have kvality of perfection of the strands. Gretsch G5412 was perfect in the strands, and I don't have any problems with snare buzz any more. And the price are even better than many the other brands.
So now are my Gretsch Renown my go to snare in all styles that I play.
