Istanbul Agop is known for employing old world technology into their cymbal manufacturing, but to cultivate a sound for today's drummer requires cutting edge thinking and techniques.
A Bridge Between Acoustic and Electric, Organic and the Electronic
Dark Overtones, Pointed attack, with a feel that is flexible and wobbly. These are designed to not overpower the other instruments. In combos, these are quite percussive, modern and synthetic sounding. A superb compliment for traditional jazz and beyond.
Xist Dry Dark Hi Hat Cymbals
Pointed, dark and trashy attack with a fast decay. Insert an additional 10†Dry Dark Splash (not included) resting in the bottom cymbal for even greater attack, a more prominent chick sound and ever quicker decay, or use it as an alternate bottom cymbal for a low volume, soft hi hat pairing that retains crisp sticking. When not used as a Hi Hat pair, the top cymbal makes for a quick and trashy splash and the bottom can be used as an accent bell or rested on a drum as a mute or alternate sticking surface.
Please be aware that unlathed cymbals naturally display marks that can give the impression of scratches. This is a typical characteristic and varies from one cymbal to another.
