Works great. 4 stars only because I had thought I read that the snare wires were adjustable with the top knob when engaged. They aren't. But that's not a big deal. No reflection on DCP. The P88 is a vast improvement over the sad little P85 on a 1983 Acrolite I recently picked up.

The P88AC strainer and butt plate combo works and looks way better than the original P85 that came on my 80s acrolite. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is it required drilling and modification of the snare drum, despite saying otherwise on the box and item description. Neither the strainer nor the butt plate fit without drilling out the existing holes and making them slightly larger. I was expecting the butt plate to need modifications, but I didn't anticipate the strainer not fitting.

5-7 weeks to get that throw off in France, 4 days with you, there is no comparison !... 👍👌
