Developed in close collaboration with drumming virtuoso Ramon Montagner and based on the classic HD2 profile, the Meinl Ramon Montagner Signature Drumstick is engineered for drummers who require an expressive balance of finesse, speed, and projection. Crafted from premium American hickory, this stick provides the robust durability needed for solid backbeats while retaining an agile, highly responsive feel underhand. It excels at delicate ghost notes, complex Latin grooves, and expressive dynamic shifts, giving players complete tonal control across every volume level.

Rear-Weighted Balance and Fluid Articulation

Featuring a substantial 0.630” diameter paired with a standard 16” length, this stick delivers a comfortably wide, command-ready grip similar to that of a concert snare stick. An extended long taper shifts the stick's center of gravity back toward the player's hand, creating an exceptionally light, springy rebound profile that enhances stick control and reduces physical fatigue during rapid-fire patterns. Up front, a barrel wood tip produces a broad, warm, and full-bodied sound on cymbals, yielding a rich ride presence alongside a punchy, defined attack on drumheads.
