Check Out the Limited Edition Solid Shell Classic Sassafras Snare Drum from Noble & Cooley
Behold the beauty of this limited edition Solid Shell Classic Sassafras snare drum from Noble & Cooley. Originating from North America, sassafras is a strong and visually appealing wood historically used in shipbuilding and furniture-making, as well as a key component in tonics and root beer. Its grain resembles that of oak or ash, while its sound falls between ash and tulipwood. As a softer wood, it delivers a dry, warm, and balanced tone that remains versatile across various tuning ranges, offering a pleasing ring even at higher tunings.
These drums feature a beautiful blackened grain cerused finish (with a hint of root beer for a subtle aroma!), black nickel-plated hardware, and a special edition badge. As an added bonus, the Noble & Cooley Special Edition Sassafras snare drum includes a snazzy Noble & Cooley antique copper drum key!
This model series is extremely limited, but it is undeniably a great example of Noble & Cooley's mastery of the steam bent solid shell.
