These 14" Paiste Medium hats are made from the legendary 2002 bronze alloy that has been the industry standard among professionals for nearly half a century. These cymbals are described as "Medium" by Paiste, but they have definitely have a medium-thin feel to them. They have a very musical, bright, warm-ish tone with a lively shimmer. The tone is well defined, even at softer strikes. The stick sound is pronounced, sharp and articulate. We love the tone of the 2002 Paiste cymbal line at Drum Center of Portsmouth.
