The 13-inch Remo Ambassador Hazy Classic Fit uses a larger inside diameter, a narrower flesh hoop and a stepped design to accommodate older drums that can be difficult to fit. The design addresses oversized shells made before the mid-1960s, out-of-round drums and thick overlapping coverings.
Extra clearance helps the head move past covering seams and settle onto the bearing edge, avoiding the wrinkles and restricted resonance caused by a tight fit. The standard outside diameter maintains clearance for the counter hoop. This version has a hazy snare-side surface.
