The famed hands-on V-Drums approach remains, but with extensive rebuilding and refreshing of all other functionalities. A vast array of creative expression is now possible with the highly potent DSP and significantly enlarged waveform memory. Adjustments to presets, sounds, and mix can now be made with greater ease and speed, aided by the vivid color display, streamlined workflow features, tactile controls, and ergonomic panel arrangement.
Import Your Drum Samples
For touring musicians or studio professionals, having access to a wide range of customizable sounds is crucial. With the sample import function on the Roland V71 V-Drums Sound Module, you can easily add your own samples to create unique and diverse sound palettes. Whether you need to support an artist on stage or enhance your acoustic drums in the studio, this module's three layers and flexible pad assignments allow for endless creative possibilities.
Editing Capacity
All sounds and V-Drums Instrument Expansions come pre-tuned and ready to be played without any necessary adjustments. However, V-Edit tools allow for advanced customization of individual drums and cymbals, similar to adjusting an acoustic instrument's head type, damping, tuning, snare wire tension, mic distance, and more.
Editing with Software
Gain quick and easy control over your V-Drums with the highly requested software-based V71 Editor, now available for free download on Roland Cloud. Enhance your editing capabilities with a large computer screen and precise mouse control, complementing the onboard V-Edit tools. Enjoy seamless integration between the module and editor software, as your instrument changes are instantly reflected in both.
Bluetooth Connectivity
The V71 boasts a Roland wireless adapter built-in for easy connectivity to your network, providing you with direct access to sound content through the Roland Cloud Connect app on your mobile device. Bluetooth audio/MIDI is also an option, enabling you to play along with songs, video lessons, and record MIDI wirelessly in music software and other features.
Outputs and Inputs
The professional grade V71 rear panel features a variety of balanced outputs, including XLR and 1/4-inch stereo main outputs, as well as eight 1/4-inch direct outputs for high-quality audio connections. Additionally, it offers three high-speed trigger inputs for advanced digital pads and 14 analog trigger inputs that are fully compatible with standard V-Pads. It also includes a stereo mix input, making it perfect for blending in an external instrument like an SPD series percussion pad, and an assignable footswitch jack. The SD card slot allows for data backup, sample import, audio file playback, and recording.
MIDI and Multi-channel audio
Utilize the built-in USB audio/MIDI interface to interface with DW Soundworks, the V71 Editor, and various music software. Record up to 32 audio channels in your DAW through a single cable. Additionally, there is an option for traditional MIDI I/O to connect with any MIDI hardware.
