Sabian HHX Mike Portnoy Max Ride Cymbal 22"

I didn’t buy this ride from DCNH but I did buy it and tested it out. If you’ve either owned or heard a 22” HH rock ride, Mike’s long time go to ride, this is a bit different. It tends to be a bit lighter and when I test it against mine it tends to be a bit drier and have a crisper ping to it. It’s also more crushable.
I also own the Todd Sucherman ride. Compared to that ride, if you’re familiar with it, it’s like a drier version of that ride with the same crisp ping. The bell of the ride sounds very similar to the Todd ride.
I realize that I’m comparing Hand Hammered products that may vary in sound by quite a bit but I believe from some comparisons I was listening to on another site that may or may not be in Tennessee, these comparisons hold up.
It’s a fantastic ride, it plays well, seems like it’ll cut through a rock band but that underlying wash is controlled.
