Charlie Benante has been one of my favorite drummers for over 30 years. I love his playing, but his sound is what stood out to me from the get go. He has very pronounced kick and snare sounds - both are tuned to sit optimally in a mix. They are crisp and articulate, something that's needed for dual guitar music. How could I not love this drum?
