Tama HOW29WN Octoban Stand for 2 Drums

This stand works but is far from ideal. Tama needs to put a standard L-rod type mount on their Octobans so you can have a rotational range of motion. With this setup all you have is height and tilt adjustment. Generally that is all you need but a great drum setup is about having as many options to try as possible as you weed it down to your ideal. The Octoban on the tilt adjustment lever side was making contact with that lever, I had to bend the top of the bracket with an adjustable wrench to regain proper clearance. The top bracket was out of square with the stand. Technically it didn't function properly from the factory, but once tweaked it works, but given a L-rod setup these would all be non-issues. Time to update the Octobans Tama. I have DW Ratatoms on Ludwig L-rod double tom stands and that is ideal.
