Tama Iron Cobra 900 Power Glide Single Pedal

Tama's Iron Cobra 900 Power Glide Single Pedal is renowned among bass drum pedals worldwide, and remains the industry leader due to its unwavering commitment to three essential principles: Smoothness, stability, and adjustability. Over two decades of consistent performance for drummers across the globe have solidified its reputation, and it continues to develop and innovate. With the Iron Cobra HP900PN, serious players can expect a single kick drum pedal that boasts a Super Stabilizer design for unbeatable stability thanks to a wider base plate and frame. The specially designed 3-piece Hinge Guard Block at the pedal's heel also provides a more durable hinge point and increased leverage through a lengthened footboard.

 

At the heart of the Iron Cobra is the Power Glide cam, which has been upgraded to the lighter, smoother, more natural feeling “LiteSprocket design. This cam is an offset double-chained Rolling Glide cam, which accelerates the stroke powerfully as it travels toward the bass drum head. The Speedo-Ring rocker cam is yet another example of streamlining, eliminating spring friction with a high quality built-in ball bearing rocker. The Quick-Hook spring attachment eliminates wobbling, provides maximum power transmission to the Speedo-Ring, and helps facilitate quicker setup. To further improve speed and beater stroke action, the adjustable Cobra Coil spring-return constantly works to push the footboard back to its original position, tightening the relationship between player's foot and the pedal.

The Tama Iron Cobra 900 Power Glide Single Pedal features the innovative Swivel Spring Tight tension locking mechanism, allowing for increased freedom of movement and a smoother playing experience. Additionally, the redesigned Power-Strike Cobra Beater offers a fuller, more focused sound and improves beater impact. Worried about protecting your bass drum hoop? The Para-Clamp II Pro securely holds the pedal in place without causing any damage.

The Iron Cobra HP900PN includes a custom hardshell carrying case for safe transport.

Awesome pedal right out of the box

I had always been a DW5000 user but had heard great things about the Tama pedals. Played a bunch on the 200 series and was impressed at what Tama was able to do at their low end so took a chance on the 900 when it was time for a new pedal. I love it. Very responsive. Worked perfectly right out of the box although there are plenty of adjustments that you can make if you want to tinker. Tama makes awesome hardware in general and the 900 Power Glide is no exception. I have zero complaints and appreciate the great service as always from DCP. Those guys are the best!
