It seems brand new, and it's great, and perfect for what I'm using it for, which is with my BassBox by Meinl... With the setup I needed those adjustable "spikes" on the two sides of the pedal plate... my old Pearl pedal (though still going strong at 40+ years old) had the spikes, but they weren't quite long enough to stick out much below the plate - no problem with a bass drum in front of the pedal, but too short to dig in with the lightweight BassBox... which I also bought at the Drum Center of Portsmouth...
