Used Ludwig Supralite Snare Drum 14x6.5 - Very Good

Hard to see why anyone wouldn't want to own a steel snare drum at this price! I have a '63 Supersensitive 5.5, a Pork Pie Big Black on Brass 6.5, and a (fabulous) Inde Aluminum 5.5 along with several wood snares. Each of the metal snares has a different voice and while each may shine in a particular application, they all work across genres. This Ludwig Superlite is simply terrific. Used it live Saturday night in a converted theater and received compliments on the snare sound (mic trick-I use a kick mic, and one mic boomed off my ride cymbal stand pointing at the snare, which gets perfect "bleed" from the toms). An additional bonus on this snare-I bought it used and it came with a barely used Emperor on top, one of my two favorite batter heads for deeper snares. Condition of the drum was excellent. Looked new. Love it!
