Product Description
Good condition for a kit of this age. This appears to be an early 1950s kit based on the brass/tan Chicago badge on the bass drum. 24x14, 13x9, 16x16. Drums only - no stands.
The nickel hardware (and the one aftermarket chrome hoop on the floor tom) shows tarnish, some tape residue, and some rust throughout but is still in pretty good shape and functions well.
The 13" tom has a bit of lifting at the seam, is missing the bottom muffler, and has one single-flanged and one triple-flanged hoop. The tom and floor tom tension rods vary in length but are all sufficiently long enough to thread properly.
The bass drum has the original calfskin resonant head with a hoop-clamp muffler. Two of the T-rods are different from the others but are Slingerland branded. The bass drum also includes a pair of hoop-clamp spurs, and the front hoop has a crack but is still functional.
All shells appear to be in round and the edges - while not perfect - are in acceptable condition. The kit is fitted with Aquarian American Vintage 'oversized' heads for optimal head seating/tuning.
Not a museum piece per se - certainly a player's kit with plenty of vintage vibe!
