Vater Splashstick Traditional Jazz

Great weight & balance, strong rods, fit match grip & traditional easily, less attack than sticks, highly recommend for anyone looking for an alternative & don't want to wrap their hands around table legs. Not quite the same rebound of a foam core rod but definitely ought to be in your bag.

I've tried a ton of different multi-rod sticks to try to find something that gives the right sound and the right feel. The right feel is especially important to me. I started with ProMark Hot Rods, then switched to Lightning Rods because they had a more solid feel. I didn't like how big they felt in my hands. The Splashstick Traditional Jazz checks all the boxes for me. It is thinner in size like a 5A or 7A stick, and the thicker dowels more feel solid in my hands than the regular Splashstick, which feels mushy. The drum sound is quieter than a regular stick, but still sounds simiar to a stick.
