Vater Sugar Maple Recording Wood Tip

I’ve been playing these sticks since Ayotte quit making theirs. I prefer the Recording for their tip shape as well as balance of stick. The music I am playing calls for a lot of dynamics and this works well with this stick. I’ve tried others, including Hickory and nothing else is as easy to utilize as the Vater Recording. Used them on a new project: “All I want to do is praise.” by Steve Nichols

As with all things Vater, it is a nice stick but for me the bead is a little too small. Puts the weight too far back for my playing style.
