Yamaha CS-3 Crosstown Advanced Lightweight Cymbal Stand

This is the 4th crosstown stand for me and I love them. I've played with these for 2+ years and have found them to be perfect for my needs. They are durable, easy to set up/tear down and LIGHT. I don't miss boom stands and will probably only gig with these moving forward. Now if they could just make a crosstown hihat stand with rotating legs. ;)

The Yamaha CS-3 straight cymbal stand does exactly what it says it will do. It weighs a bit less than 3.5 lbs, but it's sturdy enough to hold a heavy cymbal. It packs down to about 23" long. I bought it specifically to shed gear weight. I was already aware of Yamaha's maniacal quality control, and clearly they put real thought and effort into this design. The stand is mostly aluminum, but the key, load-bearing components are made of steel. I'm very happy with it! Of course I'm also very happy with Drum Center of Portsmouth's customer service. I will probably buy more of the Crosstown series stands from DCP.

Added this to fill out the Crosstown hardware pack. Total weight for three cymbals stands, hi hat and snare stand .....about 21 pounds!! I dumped over 70 pounds of hardware with this set up and my drummer friends are envious!
