When I pitched the idea to the folks at Canopus, they were hesitant at first. I figured it wasn't going to happen. Several months later, I received an email from them saying how amazed they were at the sound, and that they wanted to do it! The end result is this masterpiece; truly one of the finest snare drums I have ever played. It's so remarkably sensitive, and absolutely cracking when it needs to be.
