from 4989 reviewsAfter learning and deciding playing drums is something I wanted to do,I made the 1:20 minute drive to buy my first new cymbal. I met Max and he quickly helped find a cymbal that I liked the sound of plus it fit my budget. I have been coming back ever since upgrading my kit. Replaced my used starter kit during a sale weekend to Yamaha Stage Custom. Love it! So happy I did not search for another used “deal”. The only way used shell pack at a 1000ish price point could make sense to me now is if it were 3500-4k new, not ancient or “vintage” as they say and in very good condition.
Thank you DCP for having a great staff and store. Like the videos too.
Beautiful drum, great tuning range, has a beautiful crack.
It has a great crack and then a nice deep aftertone. All the hardware works smoothly. Love it!
gives a good grip on your drum stick
I have alot of brushes these are the best.great response ,love full stick length.
Thank you for carrying this model of sticks!
Crisp, versatile, works at different tunings, sensitive, beautiful tone and very good looking drum. At that price I think it is a good value, acknowledging it is not cheap. We did comparisons with Pearl at a lower price and Noble and Cooley at a higher price. I got this one because I liked it the best independently of price
Great replacement felts. Very thick!
Perfectly fits in my no name bag that had no inserts. Instantly transformed my bag into a safe way to store and transport my cymbals.
Although I mostly play rock, Elvin’s signature sticks have a reach longer than most and the perfect tip. I’ve tried so many sticks and keep returning to these. If I need a stick for extreme power, I’ll go to Anika’s or Janet Weiss’ or the 747s… but I mostly flourish with Elvin sticks.
They are built very sturdy and easy to install on your drum hoops, it also makes placing the microphone on the Pearl mic clip easier and keeps the mic out of the way. I’m thinking of purchasing 3 more in the near future. Also great stuff service. Thank you.
Light but substantial stick. Love the somewhat greater length and medium-light weight that is a product of the long taper . I’m also a big fan of the AJ1 and AJ2. This stick is a longer, slightly heavier complement to those. with great balance, a light touch and ride cymbal clarity. I use them for a variety of jazz contexts and even lighter rock gigs.
