Huge upgrade from a beginner kit! The sound engine is pretty incredible, the sounds are huge and very customizable. The pads and hardware are all solid and trustworthy. It feels like a real instrument I can play and express myself with, not a set of binary "is drum sound" pads to whack.
I think about a year ago I bought my Star Classic performer kit the shell pack of course from DCP it was on sale! After that I wanted the matching snare cuz I bought the shell pack not long later I found it on sale and bought it! Because I play in a lot of small venues American Legions and vfw's are most of it I actually was afraid to take that kid out it would be a little bit too powerful so I decided I wanted the 14-in floor tom so I can take the 10 and the 14 and be all set for the small venues so I called and asked could I please have the price that was on Black Friday last year and they said okay actually they gave it to me a little cheaper than what it was last year! So this weekend I'm taking the new drum kit out to play!
Excellent walnut birch tom. Sounds amazing and the hardware is the best on the market. The tama star mounting systems allow you to set a tom in a specific location and with just a simple push of a lever, you can take the tom on and off and it will go exactly back to where you put it.So you can tear it down for gigging, or for tuning, and put it exactly back in the same spot without moving any screws or tightening anything or loosening anything. The quality is as good or better than anything else in this price tier and the only thing that's really better than this in the world of drumming is a tama star, which is something like ten thousand dollars for a five piece shell kit.
They are just the standard of great sounding drum heads!!!
They sound great live and have just a bit more volume than old school brushes to cut through playing in a five peice band.
I think it sounds great, upgraded from a meinl HCS (LOL). I also picked up a 16” and they sound great together. Really appreciate the effort you put in to maintaining the used cymbals portion of your website!
These are the best mesh heads out there! I am so glad we finally have a distributor in the states. Would recommend for any E-drum user!
Great combination, 23” ride with thin crashes. I have K sweet cymbals these A’s are a little brighter but sound just as good. I also like the 15” hihats I’ll never j
go back to 14”. I play both jazz and rock.
I wish I replaced the original head sooner. This one sounds so much better and was recommended by Drum Center.
