It’s solid, and holds the weight of a 12” tom and 21” ride. The boom could be a tad longer, and I dislike the integrated quick release nut/ felt, but you can’t beat it for the price.

This re-make of the Slingerland 3-point Strainer is excellent. The DW drum company hit it out of the park with precision and craftsmanship. Great attention to all of the important details. You can literally install one of these on your vintage Radio King snare and it fits beautifully. Or, if you need a replacement for any vintage Slingerland model that came equipped with the 3-point strainer, this is your ticket. In addition, these are available for a great price!
