The new premium coating just feels more rugged and stronger than the old coating. And it's nice to finally have it in black. Hopefully this costing will make it to the Reverse Dot version of this head. Looks and sounds great on my HHG Stave Snare.

I recently purchased a set of hi-hats online from Drum Center of Portsmouth. They certainly weren't cheap—I'm not saying they aren't worth the price, but they are a high-end product that requires a significant investment. In the end, it was a purchase of about $700.
The issue is that when I received them and opened the box, I was surprised to find stick marks and fingerprints on the cymbals. Honestly, I don't consider myself an oversensitive customer, and I like to think I have enough common sense not to make a scene over nothing. I’ve shopped at DCP before and they always provide great service. I understand these might have been floor models on display, and I'm okay with that, but when you buy something new, you expect it to arrive in brand-new, untouched condition.
That being said, DCP is a great store; I just wanted to leave this feedback to help the team understand what a customer expects at this price point.

Killer cymbal! Anything made by Paiste is of the utmost quality and they have, by far, the best consistency in the market. Some people don't like that, but to me, knowing that your cymbal is going to be what you expected isfantastic!!!
Absolutely impressed with these Travel Congas. Had others before. Years ago. They serviced me and was grateful they were super easy to travel with, but Tycoon has seriously changed the game with these. Traditional sizes which makes players already comfortable with typical Congas instantly comfortable with these. I was so impressed with purchasing the 11" Quinto and the 11.75 Conga, that I literally, yesterday, ordered from you the 12.5" Tumbadora. What they lack in ambient sound they make up in flexibility and mobility. Sound quality - I would not hesitate to bring them out on any kind of gig. Intimate, acoustic to a high powered rock or fusion gig. I would even use them on a symphony gig. Kudos to Tycoon and Kudos to the Drum Center. So appreciate what you ALL are doing!!! Continued success.

Excellent feel and balance and the perfect diameter for my hands. I also prefer a stick with a nylon tip for the sound I get from the cymbals. I have been using them for the past 4 years.
LOVE IT! Very articulate. Great tone. Not "too much" ring (which I like) but with something like a Big Fat Snare Drum ring placed onto it, dries it right up. I think Mr. Gadd himself would approve.
