This re-make of the Slingerland 3-point Strainer is excellent. The DW drum company hit it out of the park with precision and craftsmanship. Great attention to all of the important details. You can literally install one of these on your vintage Radio King snare and it fits beautifully. Or, if you need a replacement for any vintage Slingerland model that came equipped with the 3-point strainer, this is your ticket. In addition, these are available for a great price!

I've only tried it with a 22"and so far, it is very well balanced and provides a solid THUMP and is easily controlled.

I ordered Vater Hitmaker drumsticks and they are a great size and feel for me. They arrived on time and packaged well. Diameter.570, length 16.25, slightly oversized ball/ oval tip, medium taper. Balanced well, not too front heavy. The tips have held up to several nights of playing. A very nice stick.

they help from keeping my 9000 based on pedal from slipping off the bass drum but not totally.

Seriously the best sounding drums I've ever played. I had read some pretty positive remarks about them, so I was already expecting them to be pretty good. Once I tuned them up I was blown away. Very nice drums at a pretty decent price.

So far this works great, much better than the extreme entry level stand I used until now. This should last me a long time.

What an outstanding drum kit! I started drum lessons at age 11 in 1976. Both of my drum instructors played Ludwigs. At age 60 now I finally got this Legacy Mahogany. Fine workmanship. It has a rounded warm tone that really resonates freely. Reminds me of Ringo and all the greats. Just what I have always wanted in a drum kit. Rick G. - Texas

I read a huge amount of reviews on this kit before deciding to purchase. I didn't find even one negative review, so I decided to buy the kit. It exceeded my expectations, both in appearance and sound.
It's a beautiful looking set. and the sound is melodic and powerful. I've never owned a Gretsch drum set, (I've had Pearl, Slingerland, Yamaha, Tama, Ludwig) but I'm definitely a fan now.
If you're on the fence about buying this, pull the trigger. You won't regret it!!
