Remo Ambassador X14 Coated Drumhead 14"

I have had this head on my Ludwig 14x6.5 402 snare for 7 years… that’s right.. it’s not been changed for 7 years now.. over 4,000 sessions(live touring-studio-clinics) and it still plays and sounds like it did when it was brand new. After recording tracks this week at the studio, the producer said it’s the best snare drum sound he’s had there. I’m completely blown away by how durable and reliable this snare head has been and I honestly will never ever use any other batter head than this on my snare for life.
If you’re questioning weather to buy this head or not… wondering if it will sound great and give you what you need… trust me.. it will deliver time and time again. It has never let me down, live or in the studio.

This X14 is amazing! Less ring than a standard ambassador and the stick response is super quick. Now i use a majority of the time as i employ many different snares and love the durability and the sick rebound is quicker than an Emperor.

i heard this head in a Remo snare drum head comparison video and it really stood out. throaty. wide-screen. and sure as sh*t, i put it on my 402 and it sounds absolutely incredible. warm and funky, great dynamic range, easily controllable. similar to an emperor but more tonal. i think this is going to become my go-to snare head. highly recommended.
