I bought my last DW 5000 over 30 years ago. With the purchase of this new 5000, I've semi-retired it to an auxiliary pedal. I now use it for left foot clave, cowbell, etc. It still operates smoothly, but this new DW 5000 is on another level. So smooth, and quick; with its base firmly planted on the floor. And then there's the aesthetics. I appreciate the exposure of, and striking use of red anodization in key components as a design element. Ok, I can see I'm going off the deep end here. This pedal is all anyone would ever need!
I had to pick this up, my first drum kit was a 1998 Pearl Export Series that I still have to this day in great condition. This 25th anniversary eliminator pedal is amazing. Impressive improvement in drive and flow, rapid motion responsiveness, and amazing durability. I purchased mine from the great folks at Drum Center of Portsmouth DCP very helpful and knowledgeable guys.
These sticks are huge, longer and thicker than a 5A, with a fat tip. But they feel good in hand; somehow the balance makes them not feel like baseball bats.
Note that the blue is matte paint, not Vic Grip. Its not as slippery as laquer, but not rubbery like Vic Grip
Nabbed it super cheap (just a few bucks) and it works great. I won't be using it a ton, and might clamp it somewhere other than the kick, but I have a feeling it'll keep me from losing the damn phone in the dark!
Purchased the cymbal stand tom mount bracket with the intention of hanging the rack tom on a stand. Purchased a rack so these are backups. Excellent product as always from Tama..

Sounds great! Very traditional cowbell sound.
Affordable way to add some spice to your kit. The volume on these isn't loud and the decay is very long. Things to keep in mind when considering adding a bell. I use nylon tip sticks so it's very sharp and bright.
Is it possible to have anything negative to say about a Van Kleef? The sound/look/feel. A truly versatile snare that sounds amazing at any tuning range. Can’t wait to pick up another!
