I bought this drum in December 2022 without planning to buy anything. I was just walking through the store and this drum caught my eye. I had heard a lot about the Merlin from British Drum Company, so I wanted to try playing it. I instantly fell in love and I bought it on the spot! It's the greatest sounding snare drum I've ever heard. I sold my old snare drum and now the Merlin is the only snare drum I have!

This cymbal is appropriately named, Projection Ride, because it really does project. The bell is killer and the overtones and wash are just right. It might not be the right ride for every application, but it is solid for a setting where you might have to play without any amplification and it is definitely a great ride for when you are in the woodshed. Overall, a great cymbal.

I needed mallets that were a bit softer for a piece we played in the Holliday Concert. THese worked perfectly. Well balanced, quality heads. Just right for a mp to pp fade on a Paiste 24" (2002) ride.
