For the price this is a very good buy. I’ve always considered this line of drums the best inexpensive pro kit on the market . Outstanding value, and nice drums. They sound great.

The kits are inspiring, with improved dynamics and detail that feel closer than ever to an acoustic setup. I especially love the new snare and cymbal sounds — so expressive and realistic.

This drum set has quickly become my favorite part of the studio. Whether I’m practicing at home, recording, or just playing for fun, the V71 feels comfortable, responsive, and full of creative possibilities.

I love these Vater 9A Sugar Maple sticks. I also have the Vater 9A Hickory sticks as well. Both are awesome sticks whether you want a softer sounding stick or one that will provide a bit more volume. You will get a great feeling stick that provides balance and articulation. Buy these from the Drum Center of Portsmouth!

I had bought a throw off from somewhere else and it didn't fit. I was in a time crunch on the repair and this throw off came quickly and fit perfectly. Thanks

I wasright about Mapex. Based on how outstanding the Tomahawk was, and how adamant Shane was about the throw-off is, the Equinox is a rare feast of unique features making this creation, truly worth anyone’s time. It’s the Holy Grail of snares! I’ve had many snares, but this is my forever snare!

The stick bag/back pack is wonderful. The outer stick back holds almost all of my stick with room for drum keys and other small items. The back pack portion is large enough to hold music folders, a stand light, glasses case, and other accessories.

The only thing missing is a holder for pencils. (Which I cut out and glued in place from my older bag.)
