Tama Star Maple Snare Drum 14x6.5 Charcoal Brown Paraiso w/Inner & Outer Inlays

Tama STAR Maple Snare Drum in Charcoal Brown Paraiso

The Tama STAR Maple 14" x 6.5" snare drum pairs a Charcoal Brown Paraiso finish with inner and outer inlays and Tama’s distinctive STAR Maple shell design. Developed from research behind the Starclassic series, the flagship STAR line is engineered to enhance shell resonance while bringing together maple’s warm, open character and the rich, substantial tone associated with solid-ply shells.

Its thin, 5 mm shell uses five plies: a 2 mm solid maple core between cross-laminated plies, with 5 mm Sound Focus Rings. A rounded bearing-edge peak, positioned 3.5 mm from the shell’s outer surface, increases contact between the head and shell to support efficient vibration transfer. The shell interior and bearing edges are hand-finished with oil.
