Tama STAR Maple 14" x 6.5" Snare Drum in Smoky Black

Part of Tama’s flagship STAR series, this 14" x 6.5" snare features a 5mm, five-ply STAR Maple shell with a 2mm solid wood core between cross-laminated plies. The design combines maple’s warm, open tone with added body and the rich character associated with solid-ply shells. This Smoky Black finish includes an outside inlay.

A rounded bearing edge with its peak positioned 3.5mm from the shell’s outer surface increases contact between the head and shell, helping transfer vibration efficiently. Die-cast zinc hoops contribute a focused sound with crisp attack and projection, while Hold Tight washers help keep tension rods secure.
